Masters In Computer Application (M.C.A)

Considering the current requirement of Computer software development and emerging trends in the Information Technology Industry, there is need to make student aware and synchronize with the skills required in the industry.

The main objective of the course is to develop different software development skills in the students with current trends in IT industry and to take up student at various positions in the IT Industry such as System Analyst, System Manager, Software Engineers, Web Design Programmers, EDP Managers, Academician in different areas of computer application, Management and Information Technology Industry. Keeping above mottos, curriculum includes extensive study of problem solving and system development and project design and development sessions, and extensive practical sessions in different programming environment under different operating environment. It also includes versatile subjects on business management and business organization.

This is a full time master degree course. The curriculum of this course is two years divided into four parts of semesters. Students have to do industrial project after compleation of second semester for 60 days. For every semester there are elective subjects.

Intake Capacity: 120 student's for first year.

MCA Admission Eligibility Criterions (Criteria for MCA Admission):

(1) For Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates-

(i) Nationality of Candidate should be Indian.

(ii) BCA / B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics as one of the subjects ( at 10+2 level or at Graduation level examination ) and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only);

(iii) Non zero positive score in MAH-MCA-CET.

(2) NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National—

(i) Passed BCA / B.Sc. / B.Com. / B.A. with Mathematics as one of the subjects (at 10+2 level or at Graduation level examination) and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate;

(ii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
